HighGrove was founded by Sean Roberts, an experienced investor and board member of privately owned companies.  Sean has over 14 years of experience in principal investing, mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets.  Sean has participated in over 35 transactions as a principal investor and led multiple transactions in the consumer products, consumer services, and business services markets.  He has significant expertise in sourcing acquisition opportunities, facilitating due diligence, raising capital, and negotiating transaction documents.  He has also served as an active board member of 11 companies, helping build management teams, direct strategy development and drive growth initiatives both organically and through acquisition.   

 

Before founding HighGrove, Sean spent 10 years at at Huron Capital where he was a Partner.  Prior to his tenure at Huron Capital, he spent 3 years each at Lehman Brothers and Ernst & Young.  Sean is a graduate of Albion College and received his MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Sean once held 2000 NCAA Final Four MVP, Mateen Cleaves, to 30 points in a high school basketball game.
